PIAB Bag and Pouch Opening

Piab’s innovative suction cups and ejectors provide a reliable vacuum solution with minimum interference and maintenance. Piab also offers intelligent vacuum ejectors that improve energy efficiency and provide process monitoring capabilities. Piab’s range of bag cups includes cups designed for bag opening, allowing for gripping, opening and keeping bags open while filling. There are two types of bag-opening cups, the F26 and F33. Both cups are flat and have cleats designed to optimise their performance when opening bags and handling thin sheets. These cups have a thin and conformable lip, as well as a clever cleat pattern that helps prevent sensitive bags from getting sucked in and damaged, and provides enhanced lifting force. Developed in partnership with a leading form-fill-seal machine manufacturer, the F26 and F33 cups are made of silicone and comply with both FDA and EU standards for use with food.
