April the 1st 1946, may not have been the ideal time to start a new business venture in those difficult post-war years, but it proved to be the right time for Bill Search to move into a tiny attic office in East Parade, Leeds. The company he started then has grown and developed significantly over the years, as have the services we offer. Search Air have locations in Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham and surrounding areas, including all Yorkshire and East Midlands. Piston Compressors Atlas Copco piston compressors are a simple, robust design and advanced in features and capability. Heat Recovery Our range of integrated and retrofit energy recovery units enable up to 94% of the energy from wasted compression heat to be recovered in the form of hot outlet water, at temperatures of up to 90°C, both reducing the use of traditional energy sources and lowering the amount of CO2 emissions.

Without energy recovery, this heat is lost into the atmosphere. The amount of energy that can be recovered depends on the size of the compressor and the running hours. Typical recoveries are between 50% and 94%. As many industrial processes include the use of hot water or steam, energy recovery units can reduce both fuel and maintenance costs of alternative equipment.
