Pneumatic Batch Counter The Aroplus pneumatic batch counter can control and size or brand of AODD (Air Operated Diaphragm) Pump, giving accurate batch quantities with a repeatability up to + / - 2% How it Works From the pump datasheet, the volume per stroke can be taken. With this data we can calculate the number of strokes required to obtain the required batch size. The signal is taken from a modified exhaust and is connected to the signal port of the batch counter. The operation of the unit has been kept simple, having only three predominant connections.

Hi-Lo Level Controller The Aroplus Pneumatic Hi-Lo Level Controller can control any size or brand of AODD (Air Operated Diaphragm) Pump, giving accurate emptying or filling of vessels of various sizes to prevent spills or automate systems. How it Works Compressed air is connected to the panel which has three other connections. One is to supply air to run the pump and the other two are to detect liquid levels. A tiny amount of compressed air is bled down the two dip tubes. When liquid covers the end of a tube the panel detects the change in pressure and activates the logic circuit controlling the pump. There are multiple applications for this system, e.g. it can be used to fill a container but to prevent an overfl ow, or used to empty a container and turn off the pump to avoid dry running or just to keep a constant supply in the tank. This simple, reliable system can also use fl oats instead of using dip tubes.

Soft Start Due to large internal clearances and flap valve options, AODD Pumps are commonly used for pumping slurries and solids in suspension. Common examples are ceramic glazes & slips, poultry gizzards, neck & livers and effluent to name a few. If the product is left in the pump when not running, at the end of a shift for example, there can be time for the solid to seperate from the liquid. A heavier solid will settle to the bottom of the chamber and the lighter fluid will rise to the top. An AODD without good air control can start at full pressure, slamming the diaphragm and plate into the product. The increased resistance at the bottom of the chamber puts an unbalanced load on the diaphragm, which can cause early diaphragm failure, worn shaft bushings and even the bending of a shaft or shaft stud, particularly on larger pumps. For these applications our Soft Start is the solution. How it Works By controlling the speed of air entering the pump the pressure behind the diaphragm gradually builds pushing it into the product in a controlled gentle manner. The solids are gently pushed up into the suspension and mixed before the application of full air, for normal use.
